SOMETIMES

Sometimes i feel like i'm so clear of my directions, of what i want to do, to be, who i am. But sometimes i feel like i don't know at all. Just like how sometimes i feel like i can handle it all but sometimes i just feel like i'm about to break. Maybe that's when i need some time to curl up & just let the rest of the world fade away.Yet, i can never do that.  x

Round Up: July Week 4

Been stuck at this post for a while. Each time i open this page to work on this post only to end up saving it as draft cause i haven gotten enough time in one period. As such, i will also always have a few new pictures to add haha! Decided to make my weekly in-a-nutshell updates into a mini series so that it'll be easier or more like saving me the hassle of a new post title HA.

Really exhausted as i'm lying on the bed typing this. 3 classes this morning then spent the rest of the day at the concert rehearsal which was such a terrible mess and had me talking loudly and firmly (i wouldn't call it shouting) throughout which is really draining in my opinion. Enough about that headache, below's my week in visuals!

M O N D A Y

Finally had a proper meet up with Ms Li after talking about it for months but we are missing Joy! 

She got me my favourite and in fact the only snack i eat from bkk!

W E D N E S D A Y

Received my latest order from Diament Jewelry! Very satisfied with my growing stash of vintage rings!

Getting back into routine would of course include our Wednesday Brunch Affair :) This would be week #5 I believe! For this week we headed to Symmetry Cafe.

Totally digging their potato fries with truffle emulsion! *inserts drooling emoticon

The mains weren't fantastic but I could totally head back for the fries and coffee.

Afterwards, it was work for me while he goes back to sloth mode! After work, ugly picked me up and it was off to dinner. Its too weird to call him by his name, ugly has been stuck with him for too long! Don't worry, he's not offended HAHA.

Luckily the weather was good so it was outdoor sitting for us! No pictures of the starters oops. For the mains we shared the New Zealand Rib Eye and the Wagyu Beef! 

& of course we had desserts! Wrapped up round 1 with Chocolate Lava Cake and the Creme Brulee! Everything was delish in my opinion, this place definitely warrants a second visit!

Work> errands> dinner kinda day

Cancelled dinner with Jun Hong to make it for fancy dining at The British Club with my kimchi warriors. Been putting off my savoury Thai food cravings for so long only to put it on hold for yet another week! :( Oh well, since it'll be the last time seeing Sim until December hopefully!

Although the food wasn't fantastic, time spent with you guys is great as always!

MY TRAVELOGUE: DOWNUNDER GETAWAY (DAY 6 & 7)

DAY 6

Good morning! Still in my pjs & with my wash up hairdo.

These 2 pictures were actually shots i wa to my sis but i thought i'll just put it up here anyway. Btw, pardon my weird & ugly socks throughout the trip. Borrowed my mum's boots & it grazed me pretty badly thus i needed the socks for cushion/cover up & also because this particular pair of Superga bites!

Mentioned that i will provide more details regarding our accommodation in Perth & below are screenshots i got off airbnb website:

A generous yet cosy room that actually accommodates up to 8 pax! It is not shown in the pictures but they also provided us with 1 single & 1 queen sized air mattress! So glad that all our accommodations (under budget) turned out well!

Off to Caversham Wildlife Park to feed Kangas & meet their friends!

  Dropped my phone on the poop littered ground when this mama kanga grabbed my hand eeeee

 Headed Harbourtown for some shopping afterwards! I amazingly survived almost a week without shopping & didn't even had any urge! But unleash the shopping queen inside me &......i came out of Harbourtown victoriously with 2 arms full haha. 

Unloaded, showered & changed for dinner!

Prior to the trip we had decided to dine atas a bit at a good steakhouse so we were to bring a set of good clothes. Look at how well these dudes fare. Out of their hoodies, into shirts & done up their hair! Made reservations at Rockpool instead of the original plans to head Hippo Creek. Rockpool is located in Crown (Casino) which is about a 5 minute drive from our place & way more atas!

Though the meal did cost a bomb (shared 2 starters & 3 sides, had grain fed beef fillet for my main & a Margarita cost me 138$ sgd), it was well spent. No picture of the food because the place was so atas it'll be not atas to be snapping away HAHAHA. Hence I only have this selfie which doesnt't suffice! Regret.

  DAY 7

L A S T    D A Y
 

Loaded the car boot with everything & off to the city for more shopping! 

  Off to Corica afterwards to pick up the highly raved apple strudel & i couldn't resist grabbing this! 

Last stop: Carousel for more shopping & ended our trip the way we began, with Maccas! 4th or 5th time at Maccas for some MightyAugus but i realised i dont' have a single picture! :(

So glad to have you guys along for this trip! In fact, first trip with them after all these years! Thank you for the planning, bookings, car rides, cooking, & laughter. I had such an amazing time & awesome first road trip :) With this, i'll wrap up this chapter of our Downunder Getaway travelogue.

Now, what does this say about our next plan?
