Day 3
If you follow me on insta you would have read that we were awoken by some siren at 5pm only to find out later that it was to warn the people of high tide/flooding. Because we slept with the windows open, you can hear people plopping around in their rain boots heading to work/school. Then it dawned on me why every shoe shop we passed had rain boots on display hahaha. Apparently this happens frequently in December because of the monsoon season. We were stuck indoors till the water subsided so sis and I did a little bit of exploring!
So pretty! Would have taken a dip if it wasn't freezing
Some areas were still flooded so elevated platforms were set up to help people get around
Anyway, we were late getting to St Mark's Square for our day tour so....we did our own exploring which includes cafe hopping and shopping of course!
